Motto and Personal Statement
“Pes meus stetit in directo”(my foot is on the straight path).I have a deep love of the outback having spent much of my life there. Even today the call comes to journey to the bush to savour the vastness, the eternity: at night the immense silence; morning – the awakening hymn of a new day; the frosts, the heat, the flies and billy tea, the confessions by the camp fire and dreams of a loved one: a glass of red wine, a cold beer and memories dredged from the past. Any subject is paintable; and like everyone else I owe a debt to the past. My objectives are synthesis, colour, sincerity and seeing for oneself.
